Human Resources Generalist
Location: Bannockburn, IL
The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) reports to the Employee Relations Manager (ERM), and under limited supervision, is responsible for managing a range of activities related to ensuring employee satisfaction and morale. The HRG exercises and promotes the "Open Door Policy" and is available to employees as needed for guidance and support on employment related matters. The HRG provides advice and counsel to management regarding employee concerns, policy interpretation and administration and employment laws. The HRG oversees the unemployment process and the overall development of employee services, programs and events.
Qualified candidates for this position will possess:
- Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Public Relations or related field of study.
- Must have at least 5-7 years of progressive generalist experience in HR with an emphasis in employee relations.
- Must have demonstrated (through previous work experience) general knowledge of employment related laws.
- Professional in Human Resources Certification or SPHR highly desirable.
- Must have excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Must have an approachable and enthusiastic demeanor.
- Bi-Lingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Must have strong customer service skills with internal customers (employees at all levels including management & HR) as well as external customers (including but not limited to applicants and vendors.)
