July 2009: The following product safety recall was voluntarily conducted by the firm in cooperation with the CPSC. Consumers should stop using the product immediately unless otherwise instructed.

Name of Products: Ionic Salt Lamps

Units: 25,800

Distributor: LTD Commodities LLC, of Bannockburn, IL., operating the catalog brands of LTD Commodities, ABC Distributing and Lakeside Collection.

Manufacturer: Fashion Stitches & More, Inc., of Dayton, N.J.

Hazard: The lamps overheat causing the vinyl coating on the cord to burst and melt, posing a fire hazard to consumers.

Incidents/Injuries: The firm has received eight reports of overheating, including two reports of hand burns.

Description: The recalled ionic salt lamp varies in color from light to dark red and is attached to a wood base. The lamp fixture comes with a 10-Watt bulb and a black cord with an inline on/off switch. The UL file number E216832 will be printed on the cord and the UL file number E214389 on the plug.

Sold by: LTD Commodities, ABC Distributing, and Lakeside Collection catalogs, and on their Web site from March 2009 through May 2009
for about $12.

Manufactured in: Pakistan

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the product and contact either LTD Commodities, ABC Distributing, or Lakeside Collection to receive a replacement cord set. All consumers who purchased the Ionic Salt Lamps were notified directly about the recall.

June 2009: LTD Commodities in cooperation with Pacific Gold Marketing, Inc. is announcing a voluntary nationwide recall of certain pistachio products that were sourced from Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella and may possibly be contaminated with salmonella.

Name of Products: 24oz Assorted Nut Tray and 14ozs Pistachios in Bag

Units: 88

Distributor: LTD Commodities LLC, of Bannockburn, IL.

Hazard: Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

Incidents/Injuries: No illnesses have been reported to date in connection to the above products.

Description: The "24oz assorted nut tray" includes pistachios, butter toffee mixed nuts, cinnamon almonds, Aspen almonds, chocolate covered mixed nuts and dark chocolate raisins. Everything comes packed in a divided gold wire tray with a bow and gift tag. The tray was shipped in a brown box with UPC bar code #803355930691 and product label with designation code NT2.

The "14oz pistachios" come in a sheer green bag with a decorative ribbon and gift tag. The gift bags are shipped in a brown box with UPC bar code # 803355930684 and product label with designation code NB7.

* Both affected lots can be identified by a Shelf Life date of: between April 2009 to June 2009.

The recalled products were sold on LTD Commodities LLC website in November of 2008 for $19.95 and $11.95.

Remedy: Customers who have purchased the assorted nut tray or pistachios in gift bag should be returned to Pacific Gold Marketing, Inc. for a full refund or merchandise credit.

April 2009: LTD Commodities in cooperation with EB Brands has issued a safety alert for fitness balls due to fall hazard. The following product safety alert was voluntarily conducted by EB Brands. Consumers should contact EB Brands to receive a copy of updated instructions on how to safely inflate the ball. Please see details listed below.

Name of Products: Everlast, Stability Ball Pro

Units: 108 sets

Manufacturer: EB Brands, of Yonkers, New York

Distributor: LTD Commodities LLC, of Bannockburn, IL.

Hazard: An overinflated fitness ball can unexpectedly burst while in use, causing the user to fall to the floor.

Incidents/Injuries: EB Brands has received 47 reports of fitness balls unexpectedly bursting, including reports of a fracture and multiple bruises.

This safety alert involves pink and blue rubber fitness balls sold in 65cm diameter sizes. The fitness balls were sold with a 2-way action pump, instructional DVD and fitness instructions. The Everlast logo is printed on the instruction sheet. The package of the recalled product will contain a package label with the catalog designation code XBA-MEN, and XBA-WMN.

The recalled product was sold on LTD Commodities LLC website in December 2007 and in our Easter clearance promotion in 2008 for about $20.

Feburary 2009: LTD Commodities in cooperation with Southwest Food Inc is announcing a voluntary nationwide recall of the products "Ass Kickin' Honey Roasted Peanuts" and "Ass Kickin' Chipotle Honey Peanuts" because the products contain peanuts supplied by Peanut Corporation of America (PCA) which is the focus of an ongoing Salmonella investigation.

Name of Products: Ass Kickin Hot Peanuts

Units: 150 sets

Distributor: LTD Commodities LLC, of Bannockburn, IL.

Hazard: Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

Incidents/Injuries: No illnesses have been reported to date in connection to the above products.

January 2009: LTD Commodities in cooperation with Fantas-Eyes Recalls High School Musical Manicure Kits Due to Risk of Lead Exposure.

The following product safety recall was voluntarily conducted by Fantas-Eyes. Consumers should take the recalled "Sharpay" pouch away from young children and contact Fantas-Eyes for further instructions. Please see details listed below.

Name of Products: High School Musical Manicure Kits

Units: About 15,000

Importer: Fantas-Eyes Inc., of New York, NY

Distributor: LTD Commodities LLC, of Bannockburn, IL.

Hazard: The yellow gold lettering "HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL" with glitter on the pouch used with the manicure kit contains excess levels of lead. Lead can be toxic if ingested by young children and cause adverse health effects.

Incidents/Injuries: None reported.

Description: This recall involves the pouch that contains the "High School Musical" manicure kit. The 7-1/2 inch by 4-3/4 inch plastic see-through pouch has a pink zipper with "High School Musical" printed in yellow gold with glitter and "Sharpay" printed in dark red on one side. The package of the recalled product will contain a UPC bar code # 803355846541 and package label with the catalog designation code DK4-HSM.

The recalled product was sold in LTD Commodities LLC Christmas and clearance 2008 catalogs from August 2008 to November 2008 for about $11.

NOTE: The "High School Musical" pedicure kit and "Hannah Montana" manicure and pedicure kits featured in the same advertisement are not affected by the recall.

Manufactured in: China

Remedy: Consumers should immediately take the recalled pouch used with the manicure kit away from children and contact Fantas-Eyes for a free replacement. Consumers can continue using the manicure items.
